I had to remind myself that it was over and I didn't need to look for more clues to get out of the hallway between the rooms. Walking out again was like stepping through a portal back into the real world. It was very immersive and I liked the lack of physical interaction with the game-master once it began, even though Ty was great because it really heightened the sense of being disconnected from the norm. ![]() ![]() When we left the Encounter episode, every single one of us had contributed in some way or another to our escape. I can see why they are always advertised as team building experiences. Initially, we were nervous about being the odd ones out but these rooms really bring everyone together. We were a pair placed with a group of four. Where is the fun if there isn't a good challenge? I highly recommend it. These games definitely push you to think, which is fantastic. It was so thrilling and left us feeling accomplished. The puzzles really stretched our brains and made us work for it, but then everything seemed to click together within our group and we ended up conquering it by the skin our teeth. We took on the Encounter episode and I thought for sure we wouldn't make it out. What a fantastic experience! This was our first Red Door Escape Room but it definitely won't be our last.
